What Genesis Means To You

It was my first job out of college and it has proved to be an adjustment.  It is the first real church community for me to be involved in, and so far its been a great experience.  My prayer is that Genesis would continue to allow me to use my gifts and sharpen my character and my ability to lead effectively.

Quote

“Religious faith--for all its problems, despite its maddening tendency to replicate ungrace--lives on because we sense the numinous beauty of a gift undeserved that comes at unexpected moments from Outside. Refusing to believe that our lives of guilt and shame lead to nothing but annihilation, we hope against hope for another place run by different rules. We grow up hungry for love, and in ways so deep as to remain unexpressed we long for our Maker to love us.” -Philip Yancey

Where You Grew Up and What You Did As A Kid

I grew up in Woodruff, South Carolina and moved to the St.Louis area at the age of 9.  I played baseball and wrestled in high school, well, at least for some of it.  I also managed to be really awesome at the rubix cube.

Hope For Genesis

That we would be a part of the Eureka community and not a burden.  That we could show people the love of Christ in our everyday lives, develop meaningful relationships with people, and glorify God all the while.
